Workflow of Publication Process
The publication process for PROCAIS follows a structured workflow to ensure high-quality publications.
1. Paper Submission
Authors are required to register an account and submit their paper through OJS PROCAIS. Authors must ensure that the paper aligns with the AISOFOLL theme and subthemes and follows the provided writing guidelines and template. Authors are also required to complete the AISOFOLL registration form and upload the statement of originality and presenter declaration form.
2. Initial Screening
At this stage, the editorial team conducts an initial screening to ensure that the paper is eligible for further processing. The review includes the paper’s relevance to the AISOFOLL theme and subthemes, compliance with the writing guidelines and template, plagiarism level, and the use of AI in accordance with SEAQIL regulations.
3. Peer Review Process
The papers undergo a double-blind peer review by at least two subject-matter experts, who assess their contents, novelty significance, and ethical considerations.
4. Paper Selection
Papers considered relevant and suitable by the reviewers will proceed to the editorial decision stage, where the papers may be accepted, accepted with revisions, or rejected. The final results will be announced through OJS PROCAIS, SEAQIL’s website and social media platforms, as well as email notifications.
5. Paper Revision
Authors receive detailed feedback, including necessary revisions. Once the feedback has been incorporated, authors submit a revised version that addresses all reviewers’ comments.
6. Presentation at the AISOFOLL
Accepted papers must be presented at AISOFOLL, where authors deliver an oral presentation as per the symposium schedule.
7. Copyediting and Layout
At this stage, the manuscript undergoes copyediting to improve language quality and ensure consistency in writing, citations, and references. The revised file is then reviewed by the author before the final version is uploaded to OJS. Afterward, the layout team adjusts the manuscript to match the publication template and ensures that all text, tables, and figures are properly formatted and readable.
8. Final Checking and Publication
The editorial team conducts a final checking to ensure quality and compliance. The approved works are, then, published in PROCAIS and made available in an open-access format.
